Have you ever considered working in industrial, mechanical or agricultural settings? Do you enjoy working with your hands and making new creations or repairing broken ones? If so, you may be a great fit for the Welding program!

All Welding courses offered on our campus are facilitated and managed by Fort Scott Community College. FSCC’s Welding program provides students with comprehensive, hands-on training in Welding technology. Through the one-year certificate program, students can earn industry-recognized credentials, such as the American Welding Society Structural Certification D1.1.

Davis Oehme, the Welding Instructor on our campus, uses his industry experience to help you develop the skills needed to become a successful welder. Davis will teach you basic Welding principles, blueprint reading, shielded metal and gas arc Welding, gas tungsten arc Welding, and other advanced Welding techniques. Once you’ve completed your coursework, you’ll earn a Welding Certificate, which demonstrates a basic proficiency of the skills required for the trade.
