Have you ever considered a career in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC)? Did you know that the demand for quality HVAC Technicians is growing? According to the Occupational Outlook Handbook, employment of heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration mechanics and installers is projected to grow 21% through 2022. If you’re interested in learning more about the HVAC industry, taking a course at CTEC would be a great first step!


All Construction Trades courses offered on our campus are facilitated and managed by Fort Scott Community College (FSCC). Students have the option to seek an HVAC Certificate or an Associate of Applied Science in the field.


HVAC Courses incorporate the electrical and mechanical systems involved with HVAC and refrigeration. If you choose this program, you’ll learn how to evaluate and operate these systems, as well as basic maintenance and repairs for commercial, industrial, and residential systems. You’ll also learn how about EPA refrigerant handling certification, and other industry-recognized credentials.
