Do you have an interest in how things work? Possibly even ways you could make them work better? Do you think you’d enjoy learning how to maintain and repair your vehicle? If so, Automotive Technology (Auto Tech) may be just the class for you!

During your first semester, instructor Adam Nunn will teach you the basics of auto mechanics. Then, over the course of the next two semesters, you’ll build on those basic assembly and maintenance principles. This course's capstone is the fourth-semester internship program at a local garage, giving you real-world experience while still enrolled in high school.

The Auto Tech courses taught on our campus are made possible by the generosity of Pittsburg Community Schools, which allows their instructor to teach any high school student interested in Auto Tech - even if they aren’t a Pittsburg High student.

Please note: the Auto Tech program is the only program at CTEC not facilitated by Fort Scott Community College, and as such, is limited to high school student enrollment only.

If you are a high school student interested in taking classes at CTEC, please contact your school counselor.
